Is there any truth to the fact that you're going to need to be exalted with all of the argent tournament factions to do the new instance/raid that's coming in the patch?

Someone in my guild told me this...it sounds really unreasonable to me so I'm not sure that it's true.

So tonight after our raid, I mentioned to my boyfriend about an unfortunate miss adventure my roommate had in the back alleys of Stormwind on our RP server. Basically, a certain infamous ERP guild on our server used to run a brothel back there.

So we decided to go troll the area.

Now we didn't manage to find said ERP guild. However! Looking upstairs we managed to find two night elven ladies, and their....Pimp?

It's been a while since my boyfriend and I have gotten any good RP, so we've been reduced to trolling, of the most proper RP form...

Ok I am rocking WOW on a pretty old laptop. It gets dangerously hot and Makes loud noises, so I run WOW with only my bare nessecities of add ons...bagnon, titan panel, and I can no longer live without questhelper and auctioneer. However i dont run auctioneer on my laptop, i jsut use it for seeing what reward will sell for more.  I avoid the more frivolous addons....until i discovered...BEJEWELED ADDON!!!!
I can't believe it. I love it i will jsut stand in ogimmar and play bejewelled. I love flying places now.  My fiance has peggle on his computer and described it as a heroin sandwich with 2 pieces of crack for the bread! I agree. No actual point to this post besides the fact that the server won't connect right now.

I logged on to check the auction house and promptly turned Trade channel off.

Why?

Because Trade Chat had devolved into a lot of this:

And so on.

Drives me nuts. I can deal with Chuck Norris jokes. Hell, I thought Barrens Chat was harmlessly fun.

But the Anal [ ] chat threads make me want to scream. Does anybody else feel this way about something in WoW (do you immediately turn your character away when you see a tauren do an electric slide? Or lower the volume when a Blood Elf says "don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?")
Or am I just being pissy?

So the guild I'm in is trying to clear Naxx and Blizz's servers are screwing us over!

First night we get two quarters done next night is the "Extra Maintenance" on Shadowsong. We were all waiting for something to crash threw the bottom and it happened right after we downed Grobbulus and were making our way to Gluth.Which is of course when the servers decide to BLARG all over our fun. We got stuck in Naxx, couldn't hearth out, couldn't get threw the portal, couldn't even log out. If you wanted out of the game you had to force quit the client! We had to wait a night after that to go back due to lack of people being able to come that night but no biggie.

So tonight we go back in expecting to kick some major butt! First up is Gluth and all our DBM(or maybe it was a sign of things to come >_<) were all off on his Decimate CD (I think thats the name of the attack) for the first couple of wipes but eventually rights itself and we pwn him no problem after that. So we go to do the Thaddius fight. The two we have to down at the same time are no problem at all but we have some people who apparently can't time their jumps to get over not that it matters cause all of us are so confused for the first couple of wipes on him due to the whole polarity thing. I myself had to end up taking a piece of paper writing the directions and everything down on it so I could stop being confused! Well after the last wipe one of our tanks DC's from the server and we stop and wait for him for a little while before deciding his internet must have gone down as he was knocked from both WoW and Vent.

Our GL goes to disconnect from his Shaman to get on his Tank (can't remember the class lol) and can't get back in! The furthest he gets is to chosing his character and trying to enter and then gets DC'ed or told that hes already logged in >_< So we are trying again tomorrow hopefully with more luck. This whole server BS is really getting on all of our nerves but at least we have fun in the raid while we can play *le sigh*

I haven't seen anything that fit my measurements today, but I figured that I'd throw this out there and double-check!

I need jeans pretty desperately. I typically wear about a size 24 (or maybe a 26, depending on cut) these days; my waist measurement is about 47 1/2" and my hip measurement is about 55". I'm not sure about my rise measurement, but I'll double-check it if anyone's got something close.

I don't care too much about color, and I'm flexible on cut to a certain extent. If you have any jeans that might work for me that you're looking to sell (preferably relatively cheaply, as money's a bit tight in the summer), please let me know!

Recap: My hunter's name is Acappella.  I was going to name my pet Counterpoint.  I was feeling super nerdy, but super excited.

I finally got to a high enough level to tame Echeyakee...I went to name him...and Counterpoint was reserved?!  How so?  A quick google search tells me that my pet's name can't be the same as an NPC, but is there really an NPC named Counterpoint in WoW?  Any other ideas why I can't use that name?

I'm so depressed (okay...moderately disappointed). :(

Can you help me think of another fitting name for my pet, along the nerdy music major theme?

I really liked my new UI(partial download from a lady here and a new frame layout for pitbull because the one i had for her started to glitch out like crazy on alts) and yet..pitbull is glitching, again. I have no idea what its doing i took a screenshot. During heigan i targeted the tank to MD them and this came up. Now while we fight trash it scrolls a bunch of names on my UI.Does anyone know how to fix this, perhaps where to find a pitbull 3.0 layout that WONT be this glitchy?

Anyone else having trouble with the log in server tonight? It takes FOREVER to get through "authenticating, handshaking"..etc and then says I've been disconnected. I've been trying for the last 10 minutes. It just makes me nervous when I can't get in because I worry I've been hacked or something.

Suddenly felt like it, did one, then another, now here we are ;)

So, my guild is kinda having some raiding issues and I was hoping to get some outside opinions on the matter.

We are a 'casual' raiding guild that does try to keep progression moving along. Currently we are 10/14 in Uld10 and 7/14 in Uld25 with a new raiding alliance that we just started about a month or so ago. Uld25 is supposed to happen Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, with optional sign ups going out of the in-game calender. Our 10man is scheduled for Sat/Sun, and we sign up for those via our guild forum, and the RLs assign groups however they see fit.

The issues hotting the fan right now is this: Wednesday night the 25 alliance run didn't happen, so the 12 or so people that showed up didn't have anything better to do that night, so the RL went and whispered/invited 10 of them and they went and cleared all the 'farmable' bosses from Uld10. These same people had signed up for the weekend run, and we do not have enough people for 2 10s, and all that's left in Uld are the progression-type bosses that we've maybe down 1-3 times or not at all. So, basically, those are wipe/learning bosses, with not much chance of loot. All the people who signed up for the weekend are now looking at having to save ourselves to an in progress Uld run with all the 'easy' bosses cleared, and throwing ourselves at progression bosses two nights strait.

The forums are hot with varied opinions on this matter - what do you ladies think??

I play on Thorium Brotherhood, some of you may or may not remember helping me get my vanity guild going. I'm looking for any other RP'ers from ThoBro (or anywhere else if you just want to be friends ^_^ ) who would be interested in letting me know about your existence and any RP journal you may have.

I've started a journal for my RP toon, just to post a comic-format backstory for him that I'm doing. I only have one page done yet, but if any of you want to look at what I have so far, it's here.

Despite multiple assurances that they'll take me with them next time, I am never invited to got to my guild's 10 man Ulduar runs.  I like to think that this is because they are not, in fact, scheduled, rather than because I reallyreallyreally need a trinket upgrade and had decided to shoot for Razorscale's goddamn eyeball (I likes the crit rating, and the proc looks pretty spiffy) and they're keeping me out of the runs out of spite.

Can people help me here?  I am no good at number crunches... is this really such a massive upgrade from the Sundial?  Until I switched specs, I was going to switch out my JC trinket for that, but now I need the hit off of that, and now it's more a question of which proc is better (I wouldn't take it from our priests/other heals, but if it's better, it's better, and I'll roll against other DPS casters).

If it IS better, how the crap am I supposed to get it when my guild doesn't take me when they're downing the first 4 bosses?  Horde population on my server is dinky, and pugging isn't terribly realistic for anything besides Flame Leviathan, unless you're a tank or healer (I am a mage).

I wish to help out a friend's guild, but I don't know if they're even trying Razorscale yet, and even if they are, I wouldn't want to take loot from them unless no one in their guild needed it.

Also: I'm thinking I can and will roll on Living Flame (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45148) next time 25 man Razorscale's sorry ass decides to drop it so that I can have a little more leeway in replacing hit gear.  Is the massive burst of spellpower (+505 when activated) a hugely better option for a fireball/ttw mage than the JC trinket (2x +19 gems for passive spellpower all the time)?

I wish to replace JC trinket with Living Flame.  Necklace, Wand, Weapon and Offhand will all be replaced, hopefully, with stuff without hit rating.  And I am shooting for Sash of Ancient Power (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45557). ; Quick math says that I'll be kept about 20 points over the cap.  Will probably switch out something else as well, I'm just not sure what.

So I'm really upset right now. I am supposed to raid in 20 minutes and I can't.

This is from my phone because my monitor that was bought brand new in february has shit the bed. The volume box for the monitor (THAT HAS NO SPEAKERS ATTACHED TO IT) won't get off my screen. I called and have to send it in. We decide to buy a new one and send the old one in so the boy can have it when it gets back.

He lets me pick it out. I pick the 23" LCD one because let's face it, size really does matter. We bring it home. I'm excited.... IT WON'T TURN ON. Everything is plugged in properly... we bought the dud. And it's MY fault apparently because I "should have gotten the 19"."

edit I sat down at my computer after we had given up all hope and held the button down for 20 seconds and then turned the computer on... it worked. And the raid was called, not enough people wanted to do it, that's fine. I fixed my UI because that sucker is HUGE (my elkans buff bars were in the middle of the screen... when they're usually in the upper right corner and quartz was way off to the left side) and basked in its beautifulness. EFFING HUGE PEOPLE EFFING HUGE. I is happy now. =)

P.S. He's upset that I got it to work and he didn't (fake upset) and my guildies said it likes girls. =P

First-time post, as I just recently stumbled upon this community, and I have a question for you guys. I'd just like to get some objective, impartial opinions on something I've recently had to deal with.

So, my question is - am I wrong for this? Am I overreacting? How would you feel if something like this happened to you? I really want objective opinions on this, so please, speak your mind.

Oh also, I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but if anyone is like me and likes the G-21 range, but couldn't fit into it because it only went up to size 18, I've recently seen a few of their pieces going up to size 22, so I'd suggest checking it out, because hurrah, maybe they'll have it in your size!

My raiding guild kind of dissolved when summer hit so I joined a new one about a month and a half ago... I really want to take a break from tanking and try my hand at Fury but going Prot is the only way I can get a raid spot in my current guild for Ulduar. >> Plus I'm not liking the people too much.

Any *fun* Alliance raiding guilds out there need a Fury/Prot warrior? I would like to be main-spec Fury but have an awesome tanking set and wouldn't mind switching out for various fights. I am an extremely dedicated raider, have vent, show up on time, etc. and I can raid just about all night long (I'm on US Central time).

I asked a fashion question earlier about boots and shorts together. Some wanted to see what I had in mind, so I've put it together for a view. I'm more than ok with honesty, I'm in the process of changing my fashion habits (I'm leaving that jean and t-shirt world)  and sometimes this does and does not work. Let me know what you think.

I'm a Graphic Design student currently in an Advertising Design class. Our new project is to come up with an ad campaign for a non-profit such as Mothers Against Destructive Decisions(Drunk Driving), World Wildlife Fund, the Jimmy Fund. The cause that we choose should mean something to us, something we care about. I want to do something Fat related, Fat acceptance, Fat something. The non-profit should be an existing one as I will need to contact them to get more information about them and what they do. Can you fats think of any groups or coalitions that would like a free ad campaign? This is something I care about and though it's controversial it would make the project really interesting to work on. Thanks so much!

So...a couple of weeks ago I went to a Naked Lady party...and in addition to some comfy skirts and tops and a pair of pants that I now live in...I got a real, honest to goodness vintage dress...THAT ACTUALLY FIT ME. I usually wear between a US 22-26.

As I've just moved to town, I am looking for a new hairstylist. I don't want one that I will go to once, but keep coming back to. In Mtl I had my hair cut by the sweetest girl in the most upscale salon spa in the city, and it only cost me $45 (including blowout), so I'm not really willing to pay more. Can anyone recommend a good stylist/salon in the city (they would have to be talented at sleek, asymmetrical bobs)? I've spotted several salons downtown, and I'm not sure how to explain them, but when I look inside, they are one room with only one customer, and 3 Asian people working on one head. It just looks very messy and amateur... Any suggestions? Preferably downtown, East Vans, Kits... not in the suburbs.

I recently quit raiding (maybe not permanently) but still wish to play my main.  I have 5/5 T8 (yes I haven't picked up a replacement helm or chest yet) and I have the best 1 hand in game.  However - for PVP gear - I have all level 78 blues (the Frostsavage set), deadly legs and a hated chest.

So my questions are -

Are there any sites that recommend mage PVP specs?
Does anyone have any recommendations for enchants/gems/stat stacking?
Spell rotations/glyphs/strategies?
Should I keep using my PVE weapon/trinkets/rings?

I am starting from scratch here and am a nub at PVP.  Any help is appreciated or a good nudge in the right direction :)  Thanks!!!
